He cited Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain as examples of how smart investments can improve a team, restructure it, and increase its global recognition.
Akram stated that the Middle East is a crucial area for leaders to connect, share their experiences, and build lasting relationships. He added that it is important to meet athletes and speakers who have overcome challenges and transitioned in their careers, like Khabib Nurmagomedov and Novak Djokovic.
Akram also thought about what makes him want to play in international events in the future. He said that he wanted Iraq’s national team to make it to the 2026 FIFA World Cup since it would be a dream come true for the players. He thought about the things he had done well in the past, including winning the AFC Asian Cup in 2007 and coming in fourth in the Olympics. He really does care about the World Cup.
